Patterns of Disharmony VII-Zang/Fu Patterns: Liver $30.00 $18.00

Identification of Patterns According to Zang/Fu; Gan/Liver Patterns

This course series builds on what was accomplished in the Zang/Fu and The Officials Series in which the essence was a marriage of the Nei Jing Su Wen with the details of Zang/Fu theory. While it does stand on its own, as does the Zang/Fu Series as well, it is recommeneded that they be used sequentially; Zang/Fu and The Officials first, Patterns of Disharmony second. Part Seven of this series details the Gan/Liver Patterns.

This course, having been preceded by ‘Zang/Fu and The Officials,' represents the core of Jack M. Daniel’s vision of the congruence of Yin/Yang and the Wu Hsing. Yin/Yang and Wu Hsing (The Five Elements) arise simultaneously in a common source. As such, they never are, nor should they have been, separated or divided from one another. These siblings, seemingly separated in recent years, have been reunited at last. Come join us as we penetrate to the heart of Jack’s detailed discourse on the essence of whole-person Chinese medicine: 'Symptoms and Signs Constitute the Shadow of the Disharmony.'

Using textual study and references, enriched by abundant notes, this serious academic course will establish the distinctions necessary to negotiate the difficult clinical cases found in everyday practice with swiftly growing competence and confidence. The killer of skill is doubt. Take this opportunity to leave your doubts behind when you enter the treatment room.

In fulfilling our objectives, participants in this course will:

• Show their understanding of how The Four Inspections relate to the discernment of patterns of disharmony.

• Demonstrate an insightful understanding of patterns of disharmony according to:

A) Ba Gang (Eight Principle Patterns)

B) Qi, Xue, Jin-ye (Qi, Blood, Body Fluids)

C) Zang/Fu

D) Shêng, Ke and Cheng Sequences (Mutual Production, Checking and Violation).

• Demonstrate a penetrating level of understanding of the relationship of the theory of the Zang/Fu and The Officials with patterns of disharmony.

• Show their deep cognizance of the intimate relationship between the functions of The Officials, the generation and economy of Qi and the other Substances, the theory of the Zang/Fu and the relevance of patterns of disharmony to sound diagnosis and treatment design.

In Part Seven we continue the discussion of the Zang/Fu Patterns, detailing the Gan/Liver Patterns.
