Ethics Issues in Oriental Medicine — Five Hour Course — 5.0 CEU's
Guidelines for proper ethical conduct for practitioners of Oriental medicine in their patient relationships and business dealings
This course, in its four-hour format, was the first ethics course for practitioners of Oriental medicine approved by the NCCAOM.
What you don't know can hurt you greatly when it comes to confidentiality issues, keeping case records, and comments you might make to a patient. Responding improperly in many situations could be very costly. Litigation from someone whose confidentiality was breached would be one example. With awareness and knowledge come greater integrity and security for you and appropriate protection for your patients.
Here's what some of the online students have said about this series:
The course met the objectives fully. It was interesting and informative to take this course. I learned several new things from it that I am already integrating into my office policies. It also got me thinking about a whole host of other things that I need to address in my practice. I think it is an excellent way to do continuing education. I did the course sitting at my desk before, during and after my seeing clients at my center. I look forward to doing many more courses. I am very impressed with Jack Daniel’s knowledge, expertise, and teaching style and ability.
Excellent course! I couldn't have been happier with it, and thoroughly enjoyed it – the interaction between you and the students was wonderful. I also learned a great deal and actually changed how I did some things as a result (eg., my patient receipt). I look forward to taking more courses from you and have been sharing that with other acupuncturists in my area. Many thanks!
This course is specifically designed for California-licensed practitioners of Oriental medicine of all backgrounds who are also NCCAOM Diplomates. This version completely satisfies the 2-hour NCCAOM ethics requirement for each four-year renewal cycle. In addition, it can fit perfectly into the California provision for no more than 5 hours of CEU coursework that is not directly related to Oriental medical knowledge. This version of our ethics course, therefore, fits the needs of California licensed, NCCAOM certified, acupuncturists or herbalists very well. Of course, others can also use this course. Its companion courses, available through The Whole Circle™, include a two-hour and a four-hour version, designed for all NCCAOM Diplomates for their certification renewals. It also satisfies 2 hours of CE credits for the state of Florida in the Laws and Rules category.
