Qi Generation, Review and Quiz Review

Marrying Chapter 8 of the Nei Jing Su Wen with the details of Zang/Fu theory is the essence of this course series. Part Four is the exploration of the generation and economy of the basic varieties of Qi and a review of the coursework of the other sessions to this point in the series. Following that there is a review of the quiz that was given to the students in real-time.

When Yin/Yang, Wu Hsing and The Substances are seen in light of their mutually interdependent existence, each aspect reveals more about the other. This enables greater facility with clinical discrimination and critical thinking.

This course represents the core of Jack M. Daniel’s vision of the congruence of Yin/Yang and the Wu Hsing. Yin/Yang and Wu Hsing (The Five Elements) arise simultaneously in a common source. As such, they never are, nor should they have been, separated or divided from one another. These siblings, seemingly separated in recent years, have been reunited at last. Come join us as we penetrate to the heart of Jack’s detailed discourse on the essence of whole-person Chinese medicine.

The objective for this course is to become deeply familiar with the intimate relationship between the functions of The Officials, the Substances, the theory of the Zang/Fu and, particularly, the generation and economy of Qi .  Part Four deals specifically with the generation and economy of the basic varieties of Qi and a review of the coursework of the other sessions to date.

This is what some of our students had to say about this course:

Fantastic review of the generation of Qi throughout our bodies and it really helped me understand that this process of Qi generation can be viewed as a method for understanding where disharmony is occurring. This really hit home as an essential lens/viewpoint to usewhen working with patients. Thank you!
Austin Homrighaus

The review was great, and I really enjoyed the open questions and discussion from the group. It solidified a lot of the fundamentals one more time, before heading into Zang /Fu.
